Ter ere van het 225-jarig bestaan van het Koninklijk Natuurkundig Genootschap, vond op zaterdag 18 april met trots de feestelijke presentatie plaats van het Lustrumboek “Scientific Challenges Today and Tomorrow. Royal Natural Sciences Society (KNG), 225 years anniversary”.
This jubilee book brings together chapters written by a selection of leading researchers from the University of Groningen’s Faculty of Science & Engineering and from the University Medical Centre Groningen. They reflect on scientific progress in their fields. The book blends scientific advances with reflections on the Society’s distinguished history, and reveals how today’s discoveries may help shape the future.
Het prachtig geïllustreerde, hardcover boek van meer dan 300 pagina’s is voor KNG-leden te koop voor de gereduceerde prijs van € 25,- (normale prijs € 35,-) bij Boekhandel Godert Walter in Groningen (niet online).
Verder is een digitale versie van het boek Open Access en gratis te downloaden via University Groningen Press (UGP).
Aan het boek werkten vele auteurs mee; in totaal kent het boek maar liefst 49 bijdragen. Dit alles onder redactie van:
